Porcelain Veneers
Dental Veneers are custom designed, wafer thin shells of tooth-like material that, when applied over the surface of a tooth, can cover worn tooth enamel, rough edges, uneven tooth alignment, or spacing, crowding, staining, as well as chips or cracks.
The translucent quality of today’s veneers allow them to mimic the light handling characteristics of natural tooth enamel giving them a more natural appearance.
Porcelain veneers are usually only around 0.5mm thick and are bonded to the front surface of the teeth. Despite this, veneers are very hard and wear resistant and porcelain is resistant to staining. Treatment typically takes two (2) dental visits.

Dental Crowns
Dental crowns are porcelain shells that cover the entire tooth to restore form and function and improve aesthetics. They are used when conservative restorations (such as fillings) are no longer possible, as more of the natural tooth structure is missing due to decay, breakage etc.

Dental Bridges are natural looking porcelain teeth replacements that cover the gap where a tooth is missing. A crown is placed on the two (2) teeth on either side to act as anchors to hold the porcelain tooth/teeth securely in place.

A ‘gummy smile’ is when there is too much exposure of gum above the upper font teeth, which makes the teeth appear shorter. A gum lift is a procedure where the gums are lifted to improve the appearance of the gums and also the size and shape of the teeth. The end result is a fuller and more aesthetically pleasing smile.

Dental Bonding
A composite resin, the colour of tooth enamel, can be used to repair fissures (deep grooves) or chips and get rid of or diminish gaps. It can also be used to fill cavities creating a natural finish. Bonding is usually not as permanent as porcelain. They are a cost effective alternative to porcelain and treatments can generally be completed in just one visit.
